INTES MICRO MN 106-10"F/6 Maksutov Newtonian

After the 8"F/6 model received the very best references from there owners, we ordered the first model of the MN106 from INTES MICRO. After 3 month designing and manufactoring we received this new 10"F/5.5 Maksutov Newtonian exactly at the date we asked it for, shortly before our trip to the large US Starparty " Stellafane" near Vermont.

The scope looks like a big brother of the MN86 and is delivered with the ordered rail and dovetailplate for the LOSMANDY CG 11 Mount. The daytimne impressions of the customers were more than confirmed in the night at objects like Jupiter, Saturn, Vail-Nebulae, M13 and many others. The highest quality of the System of about 1/8 wavefront p.t.v. and his small central obstruction of 21 % demonstrated, that such an Maksutov Newtonian design can be the biggest competitor for Apochromats for advanced Planetary-Observers. The faintest visible contrast details on Jupiter and Saturn were shown in this 10" mak-newt. We could not remember to have seen it before in a 10"F/13.5 triplett Apo in Germany. Very interested in this design is also the extremly flatfieldcorrection for CCD Cameras.

An easily handling of this scope is allowed due to his easy to turn tuberotatingsystem and smooth focusing at high power due to his 1:10 microdrivefocuser. The cooling fan at the back and the airspaced cell of the correctorlens with there membranfilters allows an extremly short cooldownperiod of the complete scope. The advanced separated inside bafflesystem and the baffled dewcap protect the observers from even smallest straylight in the eyepiece. Due the dewcap is inside fully baffled, dewproblems are unknown for this Telescopedesign. The mechanical stability is very high due to a strong and nice designed floating cell for primary with push-pull screw-system, usefull without any screwsdrivers, just by your hands. The secondary mirror can also be collimated very simple by the push pull system and an Chesire eyepiece. The primary mirror has a black circle exactly on optical axis. Primary and secondary mirror made from the glasceramic astrosital which not change the focalpoint even by long time exposures.
